Segway, Obama is setting an example to urban famers everywhere. Eating local is hugely important in the fight against climate change and you can’t get more local than serving guests with food grown in your own back garden.
Obama isn’t the first President to use some of the White House gardens for vegetable gardening. In the 1940s Eleanor Roosevelt had one and in the 1920s Woodrow Wilson even grazed sheep on the lawns. This is awesome! I live in the States, and all I can say is - it’s about freakin’ time our president actually set a good example. Thanks for sharing this story; love the site!
Nice to see that the Obama’s are going to have a garden…surely a clothesline can’t be too far behind!!
I want a barackoli obama poster for my kids’ room! My sister lives in Korea, so I hope she can get one for me!
