The children who survived Katrina
AMSTERDAM – According to leading scientists worldwide, global warming will lead to more extreme weather conditions on a global scale. Rising sea levels, soaring temperatures, cyclones and hurricanes are just some of the things we can expect. Hurricane Katrina wiped big parts of New Orleans off the map.
Katrina’s Children is a very moving film about how one environmental catastrophe affects the children who were in the middle of it. The film’s director, Laura Belsey, was born in New Orleans and deeply touched by the stories of the children who survived Katrina. Their parents had no idea what was going on in their heads before watching this movie… Have a look at the trailer here.
