The first Dutch Environmental Film Festival is a success!
AMSTERDAM - The first Dutch Environmental Film Festival: Strawberry Earth at the movies is at an end. It all began with an official opening by the Dutch Minister of Environment, Jacqueline Cramer, and Amsterdam local environmental councillor, Marijke Vos. What followed was a series of inspirational and thought provoking films, appearances and discussions with film directors and great DJs for two fantastic after parties. The practical goal of the film festival was to raise money to make The Ketelhuis cinema eco friendlier and it looks as though in just two days we’ve managed to raise nearly €10,000!
We’ll get the final figure in the coming days and, of course, we’ll keep you posted. In the meantime consultancy company Search will begin its research into exactly how €10,000 can best be spent inside The Ketelhuis to make it eco friendlier. Photos and a video of the film festival will be posted soon and in the meantime, three cheers for The Ketelhuis, Search and all of Strawberry Earth’s supporters.
