Encounters at the End of the World

Greenchoice and Strawberry Earth present the first Dutch Environmental Film Festival!

Until now arctic cinema has focused on penguins that tap-dance [Link to Happy Feet movie]. Fortunately, Werner Herzog has changed all that with his latest film: Encounters at the end of the world. In this award-winning documentary created over five months at the McMurdo Research Station in Antarctica, Herzog introduces us to the bizarre creatures that inhabit this extreme environment and the even stranger humans who go there to study them. Fortunately nobody was eaten in the making of this film, unlike Grizzly Man… as far as we know. Have a look at some awesome shots from the movie here.
