Tom van de Beek

Hello. My name is Tom. I was born in the east, studied in the south, and now happily live in the west of the Netherlands.

In addition to my work for Strawberry Earth I also work with MGMC on sustainable solutions.

I’ve spent half of my life (guess how old I am) on raising awareness for social justice, animal rights, ongoing poverty and, more recently, the issue of climate change.

Recent developments, including the financial meltdown, the food crisis, energy insecurity, ongoing wars and conflicts are very clear signs that there is no other option than drastic change.

I believe humans are smart enough to see this and I believe we can find ways to live a life that is truly sustainable. We just have to stand still, realize what the root causes of this imbalanced world are and then sense the gold that’s underneath it.

So why wait? The gold is here, now it’s time to start digging.
